If your recommended treatment involves surgery, the details of this will be discussed with you.

Surgical procedures are carried out at Wangaratta Private Hospital (for insured patients) and Northeast Health Wangaratta (for uninsured patients).

Patient Consent

Anaesthetic Review

Patients who have complex medical histories, or those undergoing major operations may require a pre-operative review with an anaesthetist. Some patients may require some further investigations prior to surgery, to ensure that it can proceed as safely as possible.

Specific instructions for your surgery

Instructions regarding management of your regular medications will be provided in the lead-up to your surgery. Certain medications may need to be withheld. Fasting instructions, and hospital arrival times will be provided via the relevant hospital.
